Inside the latest Swiss Business and Senator lounges at Zurich Airport
Swiss is known for its uniquely stylish lounges, and the newest additions to its home at Zurich Airport only serve to cement that reputation.

There are two lounges in what the Star Alliance member calls Lounge Centre A, both intended to serve travellers on short-range flights within Europe.

The Business lounge caters for passengers in business class on Swiss and its partner Lufthansa Group airlines plus Miles & More members holding Frequent Traveller status, while the Senator lounge is reserved for high-flying Senator and HON Circle members of the Miles & More frequent flyer scheme and their Star Alliance Gold equivalents.

Both lounges are furnished in the same timelessly Swiss ‘living room ambience’ design as their international siblings, including the flagship Swiss lounges at Zurich’s Terminal E.
Travellers walk past the reception desk or swipe their way through one of two automated entry gates, stroll onto bright oiled-Swiss-oak parquet floors and can settle into elegant furniture from top Swiss designers such as Vitra and deSede.

A ‘zonal’ floorplan creates spaces to suit each passenger’s needs, from cosy private niches to workstations, individual offices, a relaxation room complete and access to five shower suites shared between both lounges.

Preflight dining at market hall-style food areas with a cooking zone and self-serve bistro is complemented by a bar area with airport views plus – and this is a rather Swiss thing – outdoor areas for smokers.
Also very Swiss, and catering for an arguably healthier addiction, is the plentiful supply of delicious Swiss chocolates.
The Swiss’ Lounge Centre A at Zurich Airport is open from 5.30am too 10.30pm daily.
