Alaska Airlines opens new lounge at New York's JFK Airport
Alaska Airlines has opened the first of its 'new concept' lounges at New York's JFK, and it provides a hint at what's to come at the flagship Seattle lounge next year.

The New York lounge (which is also open to Priority Pass card-holders) at JFK Terminal 7 "brings to life the company’s West Coast vibe with a cool, comfortable space to work or relax while traveling through JFK," the airline says.

The design is based on a "living room-esque" space with multiple seating areas for business and leisure travellers.

A Starbucks-trained barista "will create custom handcrafted espresso beverages and full-leaf tea beverages" while the self-serve snack bar includes oatmeal and yogurt bars in the morning and salad and soup in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by a wide selection of microbrews, West Coast wines and a signature Alaska Airlines cocktail.
