Air New Zealand opens new Perth Airport business class lounge
Air New Zealand opens its all-new Perth Airport lounge this week, adding a fourth classy lounge to its Australian network.

The lounge will share a similar design to its east coast siblings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, which in turn draw from the contemporary look of the Kiwi carrier's flagship lounge in Auckland.

With room for over 110 travellers, the 441m² lounge offers a self-service buffet and drinks station and a café as well as business, lounge and quiet areas, with windows overlooking an internal atrium.

In addition to serving as pre-flight digs for Air New Zealand's daily Boeing 787-9 flights to Auckland and a seasonal service to Christchurch, the lounge will also be open to eligible travellers on Star Alliance airlines out of Perth, such as South African Airways and Thai Airways. Fellow Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines will retain its own SilverKris lounge at Perth Airport.

The Air New Zealand lounge will open to the public on Tuesday December 5, following a media preview and ribbon-cutting on the Monday afternoon prior.
Perth Airport will see a second shiny new lounge open in March 2018 at the 'international wing' of Qantas' Perth domestic terminal for the airline's non-stop Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights to London, as well as more pedestrian trips to Singapore and Auckland.
Qantas will also retain its recently-refreshed lounge at Perth's international Terminal 1 for travellers on partner airlines including Oneworld members Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways.
