Top-tier frequent flyers jetting from Palmerston North Airport in New Zealand can now relax in an all-new Air New Zealand lounge, being almost twice as large as the space that preceded it.

It’s a welcome development for travellers visiting the city on business – particularly those working in the manufacturing, defence and research industries or visiting Toyota’s New Zealand head offices – who’ll now have more room at the airport to work or unwind before their flight home.

Taking a leaf from the airline’s latest design book with a similar look and feel as in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, there’s space for over 100 guests with a variety of nooks and zones tailored to different travellers.

For something to eat or drink, stop by the ‘café area’ and its self-serve buffet and machine-made espresso coffee, with dining and bench seats nearby…

… or wander a little further and set up camp in one of the comfier seats or the in-wall booths, all of which provide convenient access to power for recharging your devices.

Air New Zealand’s Palmerston North lounge welcomes the airline’s Gold, Elite and Elite Priority One cardholders, along with Virgin Australia Velocity Gold, Platinum and The Club members prior to Air New Zealand Link flights to Auckland, Christchurch, Hamilton and Wellington.

Also invited are Star Alliance Gold frequent flyers plus paid-up lounge members belonging to the Air New Zealand Koru Club, Virgin Australia Lounge, Air Canada Maple Leaf Club and United Club programs.
