Adelaide is the latest airport to join Priority Pass’ growing Australian roster, with Regional Express’ Rex Lounge now welcoming Priority Pass members travelling with any airline.

Because all airlines depart from the one terminal at Adelaide Airport – which houses both domestic and international flights – it’s welcome news for Adelaide flyers and those visiting from interstate or overseas, who’ll now enjoy lounge access regardless of where they’re jetting off to.

Located beyond security screening in the ‘domestic’ part of the terminal, the Rex Lounge is down near gate 10, but well within walking distance of the common check-in area and security checkpoint that all passengers pass through.

Passengers travelling internationally would first clear domestic security screening, and then visit the Rex Lounge before proceeding through the international flight ‘liquid check’ and passport control to board their international flight – while domestic travellers should simply leave enough time to walk to their boarding gate.

The Rex Lounge is open from 5:30am until 7:30pm Monday to Saturday and 7am until 7:30pm on Sundays, with complimentary alcoholic drinks served from 3pm, and other hot and cold beverages served throughout the day, along with a selection of light bites, aside complimentary WiFi.

This development follows the signing of Australia’s other Rex Lounges in Sydney and Melbourne (pictured atop) to the Priority Pass program, along with the newly-opened Plaza Premium Lounge in Melbourne’s international terminal.

A number of high-end Australian credit cards and charge cards bundle complimentary Priority Pass memberships among their rosters of perks, including the American Express Platinum Charge Card, which offers two free and unlimited Priority Pass lounge memberships per account.
